The Resistable Rise of Arturo Ui
By Bertolt Brecht
Translated by Jennifer Wise

April 25-28

A cautious yet critical Brecht wrote this gangster thriller in 1941 in response to the rise of Hitler in Germany. Staged as a "gangster spectacle", Arturo Ui will combine digital puppetry, comedy, cabaret and toy theater to explore the rise of nationalism, and the influence of charismatic, strong men in today's global politics.
